Hi, I'm Jane Thomas‑Rosenauer
From Wales to the Steel City of Linz
I was born and educated in Brecon, South Wales, surrounded by the beautiful Brecon Beacons and the Brecon Beacons National Park. My fascination with languages started in school, with French and German lessons and exchange trips abroad. The possibilities of communicating with people of other cultures, thereby broadening my own horizons, were a key motivation for my later career choice.
- Modern Language Studies (German, French, Welsh) at Aberystwyth University, Wales
- Two summers studying and working in Paris and St Tropez, France
- Postgraduate courses: T.E.F.L. (Teaching as a Foreign Language) and ESP (English for Special Purposes)
- Development and implementation of training programmes at educational institutes and companies in Austria and Switzerland
- Teacher training courses in Upper Austria and Styria
- Lecturer at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz for over 10 years
Providing opportunities for personal and professional growth
As a self-employed trainer I have been supporting numerous well-known companies in a wide range of business fields, such as the healthcare- and construction sector, industry and banking since the 90s. Employees in production, sales, administration, finance and accounting have benefited from my expertise since then.
I am proud when my clients speak English more confidently and freely with each lesson they have. The language skills they gain open up professional and personal opportunities and enrich their lives. I really value the relationships I have built with my students over time. Every success they achieve is also my success.
It's more than just a job. I love what I do.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about guiding students through the intricate journey of mastering a language. I enjoy my role as facilitator and coach and I love the variety and diversity of my work, meeting new people and inspiring hope and confidence in their learning journey.
The relationships I build with my students are invaluable. Knowing that I am equipping them with a valuable skill that can significantly impact their lives is incredibly motivating. It’s a privilege to be part of their learning journey and to support them as they overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
Teaching English is a deeply fulfilling vocation. The creative teaching process, the adaptability and diversity of my work are factors which contribute to my profound love for this profession.
"Thanks to the collaboration, I can easily write, speak and even lead trainings and workshops in English in my job."
